Builders of Character

Deeply ingrained within us is a fear. The fear of the unknown, the unexpected. But even more inherent within us is the desire to love unconditionally. From birth we have been conditioned to run away from threats, to avoid any discomfort, to attack ideas that are foreign and alien to us.

How ironic it is that these uniquely fulfilling experiences build us up. If not for the unfortunate circumstance we often find ourselves in, we would not grow. As we all know, strength is gained through adversity to opposing forces.

So embrace the new, the different, the foreign. Embrace the challenges that are set before you. Look at them as you would a present on your Birthday or a million dollar inheritance. See your challenges in a new light and embrace them, because the more you try and avoid these uncomfortable situations, the more they will impact your life in a negative way.

There is no need to try and avoid these “Builders of Character”.
